Texans Building Character
The Texas Cooperative Extension has delegated Initiative funding from the legislature to build a character education program that provides training to agents and volunteers across Texas counties. This 16 hour training provides background on the character pillars of CHARACTER COUNTS!sm plus training on eight program models: school, 4-H, at-risk youth, workforce preparation, business, sports, community, and megacommunity. Contact your local county Extension agent for more information on this training.

Character Counts
The purpose of the CHARACTER COUNTS!sm Coalition is to fortify the lives of America’s young people with consensus ethical values called the “Six Pillars of Character.” These values, which transcend divisions of race, creed, politics, gender and wealth, are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

Character Education Partnership
The Character Education Partnership (CEP) is a nonpartisan coalition of organizations and individuals dedicated to developing moral character and civic virtue in our nation's youth as one means of creating a more compassionate and responsible society.

Character International
Character International is a nonprofit initive that promotes character education among youth and adults in the global community. Their materials and trainings are free of charge to educators reinforcing the basics of good character.

Learning For Life
Learning for Live programs are designed to support schools and other youth serving organizations. These programs help today's society handle the rough roads we must sometimes travel. Learning for life helps develop social skills and assists with character development.

Prevention Yellow Pages
This website offers a worldwide directory of programs, research, references and resources dedicated to the prevention of youth problems and the promotion of nurturing children. The website is sponsored by the Texas Youth Commission. 

 

Richard Sports Inc.
Richard Sports Inc.(RSI) has provided an organized sports program for the youth of Richardson,TX. This program allows both boys and girls to play baseball, softball, football, NFL flag football, and basketball. The youth involved must abide by the rules set by RIS.
