The population of Armstrong county is 2,124. Claude is the largest community in the county. Armstrong county is 94% Anglo, 6% Hispanic, and under 1% Black. Claude Independent School District has 363 students. There is one public library. There are no local radio stations. It has no physicians, 6 registered nurses, no dentists or hospitals. Lecia Redwine, CEA-FCS, is the project Extension agent in Armstrong county.
