Jenna Anding, Ph.D., R.D., L.D.
Extension Associate Department Head – Department of Nutrition and Food Science
Associate Professor and Extension Nutrition Specialist

Dr. Jenna Anding is an Associate Professor and Extension Associate Department Head for the Department of Nutrition and Food Science. She provides administrative oversight for the Extension Foods and Nutrition unit programs and is the Principle Investigator for the Food Stamp Nutrition Education program. In addition, Jenna provides support in the areas of obesity and food security/hunger. She is a member of both the American Dietetic Association and the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

A native of Bastrop, Texas, Anding’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education (teaching option), and Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Nutrition—all from Texas A&M University. In addition to being certified as a secondary educator in Vocational Agriculture and Biology, she is also a registered and licensed dietitian with both clinical and community experiences.

Mary K. Bielamowicz, Ph.D., R.D., L.D., C.F.C.S.
Professor and Extension Nutrition Specialist

Dr. Mary Claire Kinney Bielamowicz, familiarly known as Mickey, earned her B.S. degree in nutrition from University of Texas at Austin and completed a dietetic internship at Indiana University Medical Center. She was awarded an M.S. degree in Food, Nutrition, and Institutional Administration from Oklahoma State University and a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Texas A&M University. Prior to joining Extension in 1973, she practiced hospital dietetics at the present Northwestern University Hospital, VA Hospitals located in Big Spring and Oklahoma City, and Cincinnati General Hospital.

For the past three decades, Dr. Bielamowicz has developed research-based technical and clientele-directed publications, websites, and other Extension resources (Special Food Needs—a guide for county agents, Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes and Cooking Well with Diabetes). She utilizes the latest technology to keep county faculty updated on technical nutrition research/resources, programming ideas, and partnership opportunities with stakeholders (organizations, dietitians, health professionals, drug company representatives, other agency professionals, etc.).

Mickey holds memberships in a number of professional organizations (American/Texas Dietetic Associations, Society for Nutrition Education, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Society for Nutritional Sciences, American/Texas Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, etc.). She serves on the editorial board of The Diabetes Educator Journal. She has been a resource for the Nutrition Steering Committee and Science Subcommittee of the Texas Cancer Council, Osteoporosis Advisory Committee, Council on Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Prevention (TDH), and the Texas Diabetes Council Taskforces on request.

She was awarded the 2004 Distinguished Achievement Award for Extension and Continuing Education; 2005 Regents Fellow Texas AgriLife Extension Service recognition; and 2005 Texas AgriLife Extension Service Team Award for Superior Service for her role in the Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes banner program.

Rebecca Dittmar, M.Ed.
Extension Assistant, Food Protection Management

Rebecca Dittmar is currently an Extension Assistant, serving as coordinator of the Food Protection Management Program. In this role, she is responsible for financial operations; coordination with county, district, and regional programs; and maintenance of agent qualification and participant data files. She maintains program accreditation with the Department of State Health Services and is currently working on ways to incorporate distance technology to expand Food Protection Management programming efforts. She also provides professional development opportunities for qualifying agents and implementation of the Food Protection Management program in Brazos and surrounding counties.

Rebecca’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science and a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Education—both from Texas A&M University. Prior to joining the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, she worked as a management trainee at Sanderson Farms. She has published in the Journal of Consumer Protection and Food Safety.

Jacqueline Replogle, B.S.
Extension Assistant, Expanded Nutrition Program

Jacqueline Replogle works with the Expanded Nutrition Program (ENP). She assists ENP agents with the Evaluation and Reporting System (ERS4), a computer program that agents use to report to USDA the number of clients they reach (adults and youth) and the behavioral changes (in nutrition, food resource management, and food safety) that occur while clients are in the program. Additionally, Jacqueline assists the ENP coordinator in developing and revising relevant nutrition education materials for the program. Jacqueline received her B.S. in Nutrition from Texas A&M University.

Sharon Francey Robinson, Ph.D., R.D.
Assistant Professor and Extension Nutrition Specialist

Dr. Sharon Robinson earned her Ph.D. in Cereal Science, and her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Food and Nutrition from North Dakota State University. She is a Registered Dietitian and has a diploma in Practical Nursing. She maintains membership in several professional organizations, including the American Dietetic Association and the Institute of Food Technologists.

Dr. Robinson provides leadership in the area of life cycle (maternal, infant, child, adult, and aged) nutrition and is responsible for developing educational programming to meet those needs identified by external and internal assessments. Her curricula deliver current science-based nutrition and health information necessary for the development and application of healthy lifestyle habits. Dr. Robinson is State Food Show Superintendent for the Texas 4-H program. She is chair of the Cooperative Extension Curriculum Project (CECP) Food and Nutrition Module Development Team. Dr. Robinson frequently uses distance technology to deliver agent professional development.

Amanda Scott, M.S., RD
Program Specialist, Expanded Nutrition Program

Amanda Scott, a native of Brenham, Texas, is a graduate of Texas A&M University and holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nutrition. In addition, she also completed the Texas A&M University Dietetic Internship and is accredited as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Prior to joining the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, Amanda was employed in the field of clinical nutrition and provided clinical and food service consultation to long-term care facilities. Additionally, she worked in a university contracts and grants office where she prepared proposals and budgets for various types of federal grants.

Amanda joined the Texas AgriLife Extension Service in 2003 and was named Coordinator of the Expanded Nutrition Program (ENP) in July 2004. She is responsible for administrative support and programmatic oversight of the program, which provides nutrition education to limited-resource families with children and youth. Amanda also develops research-based nutrition education materials appropriate for limited-resource audiences and provides subject matter training to ENP agents and staff.
