Dr. Stephen Green is an Associate Professor and Extension Child Development Specialist with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M System. He conducts workshops and delivers presentations throughout the state of Texas and nationally on a variety of parenting, child development, child care, and family life issues. A central focus of his work is the unique contributions that fathers bring to the parenting role. Dr. Green has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, Extension publications, and educational curricula, including Fathers Reading Every Day (FRED) and the recently launched Web-Based Early Childhood Educator Training Program. He is the current editor of the National Network for Child Care Connections newsletter series, which reaches over 20,000 early childhood educators in the U.S. and abroad annually. Dr. Green is a member of the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) and President-Elect of the Texas Council on Family Relations.

Dr. Green’s education consists of a Ph.D. in Family and Child Development from Virginia Tech University, a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis.
