Dr. Sharon Robinson earned her Ph.D. in Cereal Science, and her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Food and Nutrition from North Dakota State University. She is a Registered Dietitian and has a diploma in Practical Nursing. She maintains membership in several professional organizations, including the American Dietetic Association and the Institute of Food Technologists.
Dr. Robinson provides leadership in the area of life cycle (maternal, infant, child, adult, and aged) nutrition and is responsible for developing educational programming to meet those needs identified by external and internal assessments. Her curricula deliver current science-based nutrition and health information necessary for the development and application of healthy lifestyle habits. Dr. Robinson is State Food Show Superintendent for the Texas 4-H program. She is chair of the Cooperative Extension Curriculum Project (CECP) Food and Nutrition Module Development Team. Dr. Robinson frequently uses distance technology to deliver agents’ professional development.
